The most common question asked by new parents is 'How long can they stay in a pram or stroller for?'.  And, then we quote them the weight capacity that pram can take.  This is not exactly answering their question. But, all prams and strollers only offer specifications based on weight.

There are growth charts available online and maybe you have seen it at the doctors office or in your blue book.  However, they look really scientific and something that reminds you of a really hard question in your HSC math test.  When you are pregnant, you have baby brains.

Below is a simple (baby brains quality) table with weight and age.  This table is a summary of the data  from WHO (World Health Organization) and CDC.

Some prams from European countries have a weight capacity of 15kg.  This is the minimum weight capacity of prams sold in Australia. These prams can be used for children up to 3 or 4 years of age.

Some brands are modified when coming into the Australian market.  They may be 15kg in their base country, but higher capacity to 18kg or 20kg for an Australian model.  Where you have a stroller that has a child weight capacity of 18 to 22kg, then these can be used till you child is about 5 or 6 years old.

For those active parents that want a 3 wheel jogger stroller, these usually have a child weight capacity of 30 to 35kg.  These will easily take a child up to 8 or 9 years old.  I remember a very funny incident when I placed my 7 year old in a jogger when he wanted to come along for a long walk.  Each time we walked passed someone, he fully extended the canopy of the jogger to cover his face!  He probably was too embarrassed or was concern his friends from school might catch him in a stroller.
